Tournament staff already have enough to juggle: round starts, match results, pairings, standings, player questions, and the clock. T.O.M. Turbo gives the room one clear, always-current display for the information everyone needs next.
Released on September 12, 2026, T.O.M. Turbo 1.0.0 is a lightweight Windows desktop app for Pokemon tournament staff running events in TOM. It reads TOM’s local tournament data and turns it into a polished event display without replacing the tournament workflow you already know.
Early adopters get something special
Be the first Pokemon League in your country to try T.O.M. Turbo and get a lifetime license for free, forever.
This early-adopter license is not available for purchase. It is reserved for the first Pokemon League in each country to adopt T.O.M. Turbo, making your league part of the app’s first chapter while giving you permanent access at no cost.
One display for every phase of the round
T.O.M. Turbo follows the tournament as it changes, automatically updating from TOM’s saved data:
- LIVE: A large round timer shows time remaining and match progress at a glance.
- Overtime: When match time expires, the display switches to a 15-minute overtime countdown and plays an alert.
- INFO: While TOM prepares the next round, the app shows pairings, match records, or standings. When the tournament is complete, it presents final standings.
The footer makes the current state obvious with SETUP, LIVE, or INFO, so a judge station or event screen can stay focused on the right information without manual refreshes.
Pairings that are ready when the room is ready
As soon as TOM creates the next round, T.O.M. Turbo can show table numbers and player pairings. BYEs are labeled clearly, and long lists scroll automatically with pauses at the top and bottom so players can read them comfortably.
If TOM is still processing results, the app can show the newest applicable match records or standings instead. When the data is not available yet, it says so plainly with a Waiting for Data state rather than showing an old report that could confuse the room.
Print match slips without leaving the display
When TOM’s match-slip report is available, T.O.M. Turbo can send table-numbered match slips to a detected Brother QL printer. Print every table in one pass or choose specific tables from the print options.
The printing workflow is designed for event staff:
- Supports 62 mm, 54 mm, and 50 mm tape widths.
- Submits each slip as a separate print job so the printer can cut between slips.
- Skips BYEs and other pairings without a table number.
- Leaves the pairing display visible while printing.
Enable automatic cutting in the Brother printer driver before the event, then let T.O.M. Turbo handle the rest.
Useful signals when the clock matters
The app keeps the timer visible and adds sound cues for important transitions. Five bundled alert tones are included, with controls for tone choice, count, frequency, and volume. There are no external audio files or extra sound licenses to manage.
The timer also accounts for the small delay between TOM’s click timestamp and the display, helping the on-screen clock match what staff expect to see in the room.
Make the display fit your event
T.O.M. Turbo includes practical display controls for different venues and setups:
- Choose from Sceptile green, Kyogre blue, or Melmetal grey with bronze text themes.
- Use a borderless window for an unobstructed event display.
- Track the tournament you select from up to ten valid TOM files, listed newest first.
- Keep the current tournament name visible in the footer.
- Persist display, sound, and printing preferences between launches.
The app reads TOM data from %USERPROFILE%\TOM_DATA, so there is no import step and no separate database to maintain. TOM remains the system used to run the tournament; T.O.M. Turbo is the clear, live window into what the room needs to know.
A simple event-day workflow
- Open or create the tournament in TOM.
- Launch T.O.M. Turbo and select the tournament to display.
- Open Options to choose a theme, sound settings, borderless mode, or Brother QL printer settings.
- Select Start Tracking.
- Keep the display open while TOM continues to manage the event.
T.O.M. Turbo checks for updates continuously. Enter results and create the next round in TOM as usual; the display picks up the changes automatically.
Flexible licenses for every league
Licenses will also be available for purchase for leagues that miss the early-adopter opportunity:
- 30-day license: 12 Euro
- 365-day license: 100 Euro
The paid plans make it easy to choose the access period that fits your tournament calendar. The early-adopter lifetime license remains a special offer for the first Pokemon League in each country and cannot be purchased.
Get T.O.M. Turbo 1.0.0
Version 1.0.0 is available as a Windows installer and portable executable. Install it on the same computer as TOM, make sure TOM is saving data to %USERPROFILE%\TOM_DATA, and you are ready to put a cleaner tournament display in front of the room.
T.O.M. Turbo does not replace TOM, change tournament results, or require manual edits to TOM’s files. It simply keeps the timer, pairings, progress, and standings visible when the event is moving fastest.
T.O.M. Turbo 1.0.0: less time hunting for information, more time running the event.
